DirectShifts is seeking a Nocturnist Critical Care Medicine to work in a Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, FL This is a Full Time position. My client is very motivated to speak with all interested candidates.

* Two or more years of experience in the management of complex hospitalized ICU patients, as well as, experience with common bedside procedures.
* 2 years' experience as an attending staff member in Critical Care; or one year as a Chief Resident/Chief Fellow and one year attending staff member.
* Experience in the use of bedside ultrasound for patient assessment and procedures.
* Advance cardiopulmonary physiology, hemodynamics and multimodal monitoring
* Strong interest in a career in academic hospital medicine with proficiency in education and teaching of medical learners (medical students, residents, and physician extenders/advanced practice providers).
* Ideal research interests would include: Outcomes Research, Big-Data, Information Technology, Predictive Analytics and using Quality Improvement Tools.

* Candidates should expect the following:
+ o Function as part of the Critical Care Nocturnal Medicine team. Evening coverage includes:
o 1 Medical ICU physician (this position will join that team)
o 1 CVTx ICU physician (Cardiovascular, Thoracic, Transplant Service Line). This service line manages critically ill patients with cardiology (AMI, heart failure), heart/lung transplant, thoracic surgery and complex vascular surgery needs.
o 3 Advanced Practice Providers (1 CVTx, 1 Neuro ICU, 1 Transplant ICU)

* Provide supervision, admission staffing, and clinical education to Internal Medicine and Family Practice residents overnight.
* Position will work an average of 13 shifts per month and will predominantly be night shifts
+ 12-hour shifts can be grouped as multiple days in a row or separated (one day on, one day off)
