**Neurology opening in Augusta, GA** * Full-time, permanent opening * Hospital-employed position * 581-bed community facility specializing in adult care across two campuses and one outpatient clinic site * Includes outpatient & inpatient with Telemedicine for Acute Neurology * Currently there are 3 Neurologists supported by 1 physician extender * Current growth is indicative of presenting the need for an additional physician extender * Competitive compensation (MGMA based package) & benefits! * Group plan options for medical/dental/vision/disability/life * Liability insurance for professional practice provided * 403(b) retirement account along with a 457 retirement vehicle available for tax deferred retirement planning * Allowances for CME, professional membership, publications, and recertification preparation provided **Role & Responsibilities:** * Evaluation, diagnosis and medical treatment of patients with disorders of the central and peripheral nervous system. * Electroencephalography and Evoked Potential Studies * Lumbar Punctures * Electromyography * Neurosonography * Injection of botox for movement disorders * Moderate Sedation * Stoke Intervention Care * Neuro Telemedicine **Qualifications:** * Graduate of an accredited school of medicine * Fellowship and MUST BE Board Certification in Neurology * Acute Stroke Management, preferred * Neuro telemedicine **Community:** The Augusta area straddles the Savannah River running between Georgia and South Carolina.
