This Regional Medical Center is seeking board certified/board eligible Neurologists to join a well established practice as they expand to a neighboring community and open a new hospital.
The new Medical Center will be built on the same property where a current, freestanding emergency department (part of the older hospital) is currently located. The ER will be expanded to 22 beds. In addition to 24/7 emergency care, the new 64-bed acute care hospital will bring a full range of healthcare services to the County and surrounding communities. Services will include medical and surgical inpatient units, intensive care, medical cardiology, telemetry, cardiac catheterization, inpatient and outpatient surgery, women’s services including labor and delivery, cardiopulmonary services, comprehensive diagnostic imaging and physical, occupational and speech therapy. When it opens in January 2017, the Medical Center is expected to serve more than 35,000 patients in its first year.
The current Medical Center is a general medical and surgical hospital with 226 beds. Survey data for the latest year available shows the hospital had a total of 10,192 admissions. The hospital is a JCAHO accredited facility and offers a wide range of state-of-the-art medical services designed for prevention or early detection of healthcare problems. Some services are Cancer Services, Cardiac Services, Cardiopulmonary Services, Diabetes Education, Emergency Care, Neurohealth Sciences Center, Rehabilitation, Robotic Surgery, Spine Care, and Surgical Services. The hospital is home to the only open-heart surgical program in the County.
