Our colleagues are Amazing! Every day!

At Lehigh Valley Health Network, you have the opportunity to make an essential impact on the lives of your patients! We are seeking enthusiastic BC/BE Neurologist-Epilepsy who has great clinical and interpersonal skills to join our team in beautiful Allentown, PA.

Practice Overview:

Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN) is searching for additional epileptologists to join our three current epilepsy neurologists in our busy academic practice. LVHN has been recognized by the National Association of Epilepsy Centers as a Level 3 Epilepsy Center since 2010 and is aggressively working towards a Level 4 designation as a Comprehensive Epilepsy Center.

The Center’s multidisciplinary team includes neurologists with fellowship training in neurophysiology, a fellowship trained functional neurosurgeon, neuropsychologists, social worker, and epilepsy-experienced nursing staff. Our active Epilepsy Center of LVHN has evolved in the recent years and has been recognized as a regional referral center for the diagnosis and management of epilepsy across its spectrum.

Neurology at LVHN has experienced significant growth and remarkable accomplishments during the last several years and has grown to 27 neurologists and 14 advanced care providers. The division developed a new section of neurocritical care in 2015, staffed by four neurocritical care neurologists and a team of advanced care providers to support the care of patients in the neurocritical care unit. In 2016, we welcomed the first class of residents into our fully ACGME-accredited neurology residency program. This year we also welcomed our new Chief of Neurology, Dr. Steven L. Lewis, Editor-in-Chief of Continuum: Lifelong Learning in Neurology, to lead the next phase of growth of Neurology at LVHN.

The network is equipped to do long term video EEG monitoring (LTME) at two large LVHN hospital sites. Our 14 bed neurointensive care unit has complete LTME capability. Onsite and remote review is available throughout the network. Our neurologists provide EEG reading services to other facilities within our extensive regional network.

The LVHN EEG lab is American Board of Registered Electroneurodiagnostic Technologists (ABRET) accredited and has developed an on-site EEG technologists training program. This program is recognized as an educational program through ABRET and upon completion, trainees are eligible for EEG registration. Staff includes an EEG certified Lab Manager, EEG certified Lab Educator, and a large team of certified EEG Technologists.
