Harris Medical Associates is currently working with the VAMC in Grand Junction CO. They are currently seeking a Board Certified/Eligible Neurologist M-F for ongoing locums coverage.
Clinic and Surgical Care: Contractor’s Neurologist(s) shall provide Neurology services for facility including:
Patient Safety: Report any patient safety incidents in accordance with Quality Assurance Surveillance
Independently diagnose, treat, and manage patients with neurological diseases according to standard, usual, and acceptable methods and techniques.
Ability to write prescriptions for neurological drugs.
Provide ongoing ambulatory visits, both new consultations and follow-up care, and inpatient consults. Exams appropriate and specific for specialty services for outpatient, inpatient, and Community Living Center (CLC) resident examinations.
Receive calls from other providers regarding all patients
The neurologist should have at least one (1) year experience in a hospital or private practice setting. VA experience for any length of time is preferable.
Specialty Exams: The contractor shall provide direct patient care including specialty exams as required by the Chief of Staff or designee.
Assignment Specifications:
> Monday - Friday 8am-430pm.
> Any Active State License - no restrictions.
> AACGME or AOA residency trained.
> Certified in BLS and ACLS
> 85% Direct Patient Care.
> All travel and housing expenses covered, as well as malpractice.
> We provide the credentialing specialist that REDUCES the time and effort on your part.
> Harris Medical offers an excellent referral program of $1,000.00 for any leads that go to work!
