The Department of Neurology at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, in Lubbock Texas has an opening for a Neurologist at the Assistant or Associate Professor rank. The opening is for the position of Director, Alzheimer's Disease Program. This is an endowed chair, ?The Corinne Payne Wright Regents Endowed Chair in Alzheimer?s Disease?. Candidates must have completed an accredited neurology residency and fellowship specializing in Behavior Neurology or Alzheimer's.

Candidate must be Texas licensed or eligible for Texas licensure. Candidate should be well-versed in the diagnosis and management of neurological disorders in adults. The candidate will join an active clinical and research program in Alzheimer's disease research in aging and dementia. TTUHSC is home to several research efforts already in place such as the Garrison Institute on Aging, Marie Hall Institute for Rural and Community Health. The position also includes the appointment as the PI of the 2 year grant of the Texas Alzheimer?s Research and Care Consortium (TARCC). The candidate is expected to develop a robust clinical practice with significant activity in research. Involvement in medical student education and our residency training program is also expected. The TTUHSC Department of Neurology covers neurologic specialties including epilepsy, stroke, movement disorders, MS and neuroimmunology, neuromuscular disorders, endovascular neurology and an Alzheimer?s research program. The department serves the communities of West Texas and surrounding areas to include portions of Eastern New Mexico.
