**Neurologist job opportunity in Kankakee, Illinois** Located 60 miles from Chicago, IL **Outpatient Neurology Opportunity:** ~ Full-time, permanent ~ Current group: 5 Neurologists (1 Tele) and 2 NPs ~ Support Services: Central Illinois Radiology (two interventional radiologists); Rehab Unit; EEG with qualified techs and EMG; MRI, CAT; 2 neurosurgeons; 3 PM&R physicians; Tele-stroke - utilize a stroke robot for TPAs during off hours **Practice Details:** ~ Employed with the not-for-profit hospital ~ Approximately 170 providers ~ Outpatient practice ~ Rotate inpatient coverage during the day ~ No call ~ Office is on the campus of the hospital ~ Practice has historically supported four neurologists: Only neurology group in the area; Region supports another neurologist ~ Outreach Locations: Frankfort and Watseka ~ Support Staff: Each physician has their own nurse and Onsite coder ~ Epic EMR ~ Patients: Strokes; Altered mental states; Seizures; Headaches; Parkinsons; Alzheimers ~ Reasons for Recruitment; Growth of Neuroscience Department; Practice beginning to specialize in the areas of Epilepsy and Movement Disorder; Looking for a leader ~ H1B candidates welcome to apply **Current Office Volume:** ~ 10-12 returning patients per day ~ Approx. 2-4 new patients per day ~ EEG: 6 per day ~ EMG: 20-25 per week and growing with the addition of five new orthopedic surgeons ~ TCD: 4 per month **Compensation and Benefits:** ~ Base Salary: 330K ~ Incentive based on worked wRVUs ~ Relocation ~ Loan Repayment ~ Commencement Bonus ~ Housing Stipend ~ Vacation Time - 27 days in year one and 32 days in years two and beyond ~ CME stipend and Professional Dues ~ CME time off ~ Paid Malpractice ~ Health, Dental, Vision, Disability, Life ~ Retirement **Ideal Candidate:** ~ Someone willing to do general neurology ~ Board Certification within 5 years of residency ~ Ability to do EMGs is a plus ~ Collegial ~ Open to leadership opportunities **Growth Opportunities:** ~ Specialization ~ Research opportunities ~ Grant Program for NIH ~ Leadership within Medical Group and the Neurosciences Institute
