Cognitive Neurology Faculty Position at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center

The Neurological Institute at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center has an exciting opportunity for a Cognitive Neurologist. The integration of our five neuroscience-related departments (Neurology, Neurosurgery, Neuroscience, PM&R and Psychiatry) into a comprehensive neuroscience program provides our physicians and staff a very collegial environment.

Our Memory Disorders Clinic has more than 2,500 patient-visits each year, and our Memory Disorders Research Center has conducted more than 160 dementia-related clinical trials in the last 25 years. Ohio State conducts more Alzheimer’s clinical trials than any other medical center in Ohio, offering patients immediate access to the most promising treatments and diagnostics, often well before they are available at other hospitals.

Under the direction of Douglas W. Scharre, MD, the Memory Disorders Research Center has been conducting clinical research studies since 1993 on conditions such as Alzheimer’s disease, mild cognitive impairment, vascular dementia, Lewy body dementia, and frontotemporal dementia.

This opportunity has a clinical and/ or research focus and comes with an academic appointment commensurate with professional experience and qualifications.

Minimum Qualifications

  • MD or DO
  • Successful completion of a Cognitive or Behavioral Neurology or Geriatric Neurology Fellowship
  • Board Eligible or Board Certified in Neurology
  • State of Ohio Medical License (Prior to Start of Practice)
