Seeking a Medical Director to lead a new outpatient neurology team in eastern North Carolina. Applicants should be board certified and have at least 5 years of clinical experience. Candidates with subspecialty interest or fellowship training in Movement Disorder, Epilepsy, Neuromuscular, Headache, or MS are encouraged to apply. Prior leadership experience required. The successful candidate will assist with the recruitment of an outpatient neurology team and provide oversight into all aspects of the development of outpatient neurology services.

• Opportunities exist for outpatient only or an inpatient/outpatient combination
• The existing neuroscience team consists of 8 neurosurgeons, including 2 dual-trained cerebrovascular neurosurgeons, an interventional neurologist, a neuro-oncologist, stroke neurohospitalists, neurologists, neurointensivists, and a large team of Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants.
• Monday – Friday schedule for outpatient, practice call only
• For sub-specialties, 25% general neurology and 75% sub-specialty when fully staffed
• Strong inpatient support at Medical Center
• Medical Center is home to a newly expanded 24-bed NSICU led by Neurointensivist as well as a large rehab center providing both inpatient and outpatient support to neurology patients
• Strong investment in technology including Gamma Knife, NeuroBlate, and RAPID
