Ansible Government Solutions, LLC (Ansible) is currently seeking multiple full-time or Locum Tenens Neurologists for IMMEDIATE service in at the W. G. (Bill) Hefner VA Medical Center in Salisbury, NC. Highly competitive full-time and Locum Tenens packages with signing bonuses are available. The Neurologists will primarily be responsible for outpatient care, inpatient consultations, and on-call services.

Description
  • Primarily responsible for outpatient care, inpatient consultations, and on-call services.
  • Responsible for providing Neurological services, including, but not limited to providing comprehensive specialty care for patients with Dementia, Multiple Sclerosis, Neuromuscular disease, Epilepsy, Headaches, Movement disorder, and consultations to assist in diagnosis and management of all other types of neurological conditions (neurology clinic is also equipped to do outpatient EEG testing, and EMG/NCS testing)
  • Performs Electroneurodiagnostic tests such as Electroencephalograph gram (EEG) (records electrical impulses of the brain) and Electromyogram (EMG) (evaluates nerve and muscle function in the extremities, arms/legs etc.) used in the diagnosis and treatment of suspected brain disorders or neuro disorders associated with the brain or spinal column
  • Provides sleep medicine
  • Provides outpatient infusion services
  • Provides Botox treatment
  • Provides inpatient consultation
  • Provides on-call services at least eight (8) weekdays a month and one (1) weekend a month
  • Provides review of consults and next-day patient cases for minimum of two hours daily
  • Follows all established medication policies and procedures (no sample medications shall be provided to patients)
  • Provides discharge education and follow up instructions that are coordinated with the next care setting for all emergency department patients
  • Provides post-procedure evaluation, follow-up, and, clinical, consultation regarding complications of procedures
  • All notes and encounters must be completed with two calendar days of the encounter
  • Assists in mobilization of facility contingency plans to accommodate emergency situations should they arise
  • Participates in mandatory training requirements, including Information Security, Privacy training, and CPRS training
  • Adheres to all facility safety policies and complies with service-specific Joint Commission Patient Safety Goals or equivalent
  • Maintains appropriate communication and relationship with other members of the team
  • Must be present on time for any scheduled clinics as documented by physical presence in the clinic at the scheduled start time
  • Completes the appropriate QM/PI documentation pertaining to all procedures, complications, and outcome of examinations
  • Must be available to perform peer reviews
Qualifications
  • Active, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in any U.S. State or Territory
  • Board Certification or Board Eligible by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology
  • Current American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications
  • Must be able to pass a Federal background investigation (National Agency Check with Written Inquiries)
