Clinical Neurology, Stroke Neurology and Neurohospitalist Opportunities available.

Clinical Neurology Practice Specifics:

  • Seeking Clinical Neurologist to join our team.
  • Building comprehensive and coordinated neuroscience programs currently supported by 7 Neurologists, 1 Stroke Neurologist, 1 Stroke Program Manager,1 Hospital Physician assistant; 1 Pediatric Neurologist, 2 Pediatric Nurse Practitioners, 4 Clinic Nurse practitioners, 1 Clinic Physician Assistant, 2 Adult Neuropsychologists, 4 Adult Psychometrists, 1 Pediatric Neuropsychologist; 1 Pediatric Psychometrist;
  • 3 Neurosurgeons, 5 Adult Physiatrists and 1 Pediatric Physiatrist. We are in the process of developing a Neuro-Hospitalist program.
  • Opportunities for primarily clinic practice or primarily hospital practice or an equal combination. Open to all three scenarios. Call is rotated evenly among group until 2 Hospital based Neurology physicians are hired
  • Neuroscience unit at Medical Center includes a Neuro Trauma unit and Neuro step down unit along with general beds. Medical Center is a 336-bed regional tertiary hospital. Inpatient rehab unit is a 150-bed hospital
  • Practice supported by a wide variety of specialty services. Procedures offered include state-of-the-art electroneurodiagnostics, all new digital EEG/Video evoked potential equipment, intraoperative monitoring, depth electrode recordings, a regional sleep disorders center, Invasive Cardiology, Rehab services and comprehensive CT and MRI services
  • Opportunities to specialize in Neurophysiology; Movement disorder; Multiple Sclerosis, the development of a Behavioral Neurology program and open to other Neurology Specialties.
  • Our ideal candidate would be someone looking for a collaborative Neurology practice, who is open to seeing the variety of patients that we serve, but also has the opportunity to specialize. Some of the areas of specialization we are looking for include Neurophysiology; Movement disorder and Behavioral Neurology.
  • Certified Primary Stroke Center.

REQUIREMENTS

  • BC/BE in Neurology

Stroke Neurology Practice Specifics:

  • We are seeking 2 additional Stroke Neurologists to join our existing team. These are growth positions – not replacements.
  • We are a designated a Primary Stroke Center – working toward becoming a Comprehensive Stroke Center.
  • Candidates will provide stroke care for St. Mary’s Medical Center and tele-stroke for regional hospitals.
  • Certified Stroke Center with inpatient CARF-Stroke Certified Rehab.
  • Building comprehensive and coordinated neuroscience programs currently supported by 7 Neurologists, 2 Stroke Neurologist, 1 Tele-stroke program specialist, 1 Stroke Program Manager, 1 Pediatric Neurologist, 1 Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, 4 Adult Nurse Practitioners, 1 Physician Assistant, 1 Certified Nurse Specialist, 2 Neuropsychologist, 4 Psychometrists, 3 Neurosurgeons, 5 Adult Physiatrists and 1 Pediatric Physiatrist. We are also in the process of developing a Neuro-Hospitalist program.
  • Primarily inpatient position with periodic “Stroke Clinic” days.
  • Medical Center is a 336-bed regional tertiary hospital. Inpatient rehab unit is a 150-bed hospital. This includes a Neuroscience unit at Medical Center including a Neuro Trauma unit and Neuro step down unit along with general beds.
  • Stroke program is supported by Vascular Lab with Neurosonology capabilities. Imaging capabilities: 24/7 MRI, acute [Register to View] MRI protocol, perfusion studies, diagnostic angiograms.
  • Anticipated work schedule: 7 on 7 off with shared call
  • Our ideal candidate would have completed a Stroke Fellowship and have tele-stroke experience.

REQUIREMENTS

  • BC/BE in Neurology and fellowship trained in Stroke

Neurohospitalist Practice Specifics:

  • We are seeking 2 Neuro-hospitalists as an inpatient general consult service. These are growth positions – not replacements. (Internal medicine hospitalists managing the general and non-neurological care. Strokes are managed by the Stroke program.)
  • Our ideal candidate would have experience with management of acute inpatient neurologic disorders.
  • Able to read EEG and comfortable with intraoperative EEG.
  • We are building an integrated neuroscience model that includes neurology, neuropsychology, neuro-intervention, neurosurgery, and rehabilitative medicine.
  • Certified Primary Stroke Center.
  • Medical Center is a 336-bed regional tertiary hospital. Inpatient rehab unit is a 150-bed hospital. This includes a Neuroscience Medical Center includes a Neuro Trauma unit and Neuro step down unit along with general beds.
  • Practice supported by a wide variety of specialty services. Procedures offered include state-of-the-art electroneurodiagnostics, all new digital EEG/Video evoked potential equipment, intraoperative monitoring, depth electrode recordings, Rehab services and comprehensive CT and MRI services
  • Anticipated work schedule: 8 AM – 5PM, 7 days on 7 days off with after hours call split between neurohospitalists and the 4 clinic based general neurologists.

REQUIREMENTS

  • BC/BE in Neurology
  • Comfortable with reading EEG and intraoperative monitoring of EEG
