Neurology Opportunity in Suburban Philadelphia, PA!!
1) Participates in all relevant hospital programs, working in both in-patient and outpatient settings to provide neurological services to patients and supervises medical technicians as appropriate.
2) Examine, diagnose, treat, counsel and interviews patients or others on the background of neurological disorders including risk factors, genetic or environmental concerns, their complaints, symptoms, medical histories, and family histories, as appropriate. Will inform patients or families of neurological diagnoses and prognoses, benefits, risks and costs of various treatment plans.
3) Refer patients to other health care practitioners as necessary, advises other physicians on the treatment of neurological problems, and communicates with other health care professionals regarding patients' conditions and care. Coordinates neurological services with other health care team activities.
4) Prescribe or administer appropriate medications, monitor patients for behavioral and cognitive side effects as well as prescribe or administer treatments such as trans-cranial magnetic stimulation, vagus nerve stimulation, and deep brain stimulation and will interpret the results of appropriate neuro-imaging studies
5) Prepare, maintain, or review records that include patients' histories, neurological examination findings, treatment plans, and outcomes.
One hour from Philadelphia and NYC. Hospital is located in the School District which is ranked in the top ten of all districts in Pennsylvania.
