The Department of Neurology at the University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine in partnership with Renown Regional Medical Center announces the creation and recruitment of the new Gilbert Chair in Movement Disorders.
This newly formed academic position represents a new specialty within the Neurology department at UNR Med and the Institute of Neurosciences at Renown Health. The Gilbert Chair for Movement Disorders will have a unique opportunity to create a movement disorders program that will become recognized for expertise in the diagnosis and treatment and for innovative clinical research. The Gilbert Chair will have 40% protected time and start-up funds to develop clinical research in the area of Parkinson’s and related diseases.

We are seeking a Board Certified, fellowship trained neurologist at the level of Associate or Full Professor. Candidates should demonstrate leadership in movement disorders with a national reputation of clinical excellence and a robust research portfolio demonstrating clinical and translational science expertise. The level of academic appointment is dependent on experience and qualifications.
