Job Summary
Job Description
Desert Regional Medical Center is a 385 bed hospital and Comprehensive Stroke Center that serves a catchment area of approximately 700,000 people. We have a great need for an Epilepsy trained trained Neurologist who is also willing to participate as teaching faculty for our Neurology Residency program. A fellowship trained epilepsy specialist would have the opportunity to develop an academic epilepsy program with a possible inpatient epilepsy unit. There is a potential to develop a robust and rewarding practice as the subspecialist would be in a clinic with multiple orthopedists and spine surgeons.
This is a 100% outpatient practice with regular M-F business hours as all inpatient services are handled by full time Neurohospitalists. The practice can be structured as an employed position with benefits or a hybrid private practice with a full guarantee and overhead the first year and most overhead covered thereafter. We have no doubt that the right physician will ramp up quickly and settle into a comfortable and secure long term career opportunity.
