This Central Florida medical center, in partnership with University of Central Florida, is searching for a Board Certified (BC) Vascular Neurologist to join our growing GME Residency Program.

Our team is seeking an academic vascular neurologist to provide supervision and teaching of residents and medical students. As core faculty, this position will have 70% direct patient care with 30% protected administrative GME time. This position will work closely with the inpatient comprehensive stroke team as well as achieve continuity of care by following patients after discharge in the outpatient clinic.

As a New State-of-the-Art Comprehensive Stroke Center/Neuroscience Center, we are able to provide a full range of services for the prevention, detection, treatment, and rehabilitation of stroke and other neurological disorders. We also provide a full continuum of stroke care with specialty trained neurology nurses, nurse practitioners, therapists, pharmacists, case managers, along with 24/7 Neurology, Neurosurgery, and Interventional Neuroradiology coverage for our stroke patients.

The Regional Medical Center is a Joint Commission accredited 404-bed level II trauma hospital that builds on a proud tradition of healthcare excellence in Osceola County, Florida. It is centrally located in the heart of Kissimmee, only minutes from Orlando, St. Cloud, Celebration and Poinciana. The Kissimmee area has pleasing family oriented residential communities with quick access to multiple theme parks and numerous cultural opportunities. Both the Atlantic and Gulf of Mexico beaches are just a short drive away.

As of the 2010 United States Census, the city population was 59,682 and is a Principal City of the Orlando-Kissimmee-Sanford, Florida, Metropolitan Statistical Area, which had a 2010 population of 2,134,411.

Moments to Orlando, Kissimmee is a family-oriented destination known for its themed dinner theaters, swamp tours and outdoor activities. In downtown Kissimmee, spend some time in Kissimmee Lakefront Park and walk around the waterfront, stopping for ice cream, some splashing in the fountain pool and perhaps a cast into the lake known for bass. Walk past the Monument of States, made of minerals from every state and many nations. Watch for murals depicting the town's past as a cattle capital, where present-day rodeos and cattle auctions allow visitors and residents to remember the historic past.
