Job Description

Last Update: 12/31/23
Seeking a BC/BE Stroke Neurologist to join a practice in Kansas City area.

The practice consists of 11 others in Neurosurgery, Neuro-intervention, Neuroradiology, Neuro-Oncology, Epileptology, Neurorehabilitation, Psychiatry, Pain Management, Sleep Disorders and Neuro-Otology.

Call is shared among the neurologists which provides for a balanced lifestyle.

The hospital service is supported by Neuro Nurse Practitioners working 12 hour shifts Monday through Friday and including weekend coverage. Code Neuro Nurses (neurocritical care trained) are the first responders to the emergency department for any neurological case. This is staffed 24/7.

The subspecialty expertise of the neurologists and access to the neuroscience database and biostatisticians augments a culture of learning and innovation, as does participation in sponsored or investigator initiated research, publication in peer reviewed journals and presentation at national conferences. Academic appointments are available if desired.

The Neuroscience Institute is a comprehensive, rapidly growing, well-endowed institution with specialists in neurology, neurosurgery, interventional neuroradiology, neurophysiology, neuro-oncology, neurootology, sleep medicine, pain medicine, psychiatry and physical medicine and rehabilitation working together on multiple campuses and through the network of affiliated hospitals. The facility features an 18-bed neuro intensive care unit, four dedicated neurosurgical operating rooms, two neuroradiology interventional suites, a dedicated EEG monitoring unit, a full service neuro-diagnostics lab and 3 inpatient units for patients with neurologic disorders.
