A Partnership with Wright State University Clinical Neuroscience Institute (CNSI) is seeking a BE/BC Stroke Neurologist or NeuroHospitalist with acute stroke training to supplement the existing stroke group.

The position will be primarily stroke-centered inpatient (IP) with opportunity for outpatient (OP), with near 7 on/7 off schedule. The service is supported by a residency program and neurocritical care team. The CNSI includes the divisions of: neurology, neurosurgery, neurointerventional surgery, and neurocritical care and boasts clinical programs of excellence in stroke (comprehensive certification), neurointerventional surgery, neurosurgery, and neuro-critical care. In addition, the CNSI is actively building centers of excellence in epilepsy, neuro-oncology, headache, spine disorders, movement, and neuromuscular disorders.

Part of a multi-hospital system. This campus is the main teaching center and is a state of art, 974-bed Level I Trauma Center and has achieved Comprehensive Stroke Certification. It stands as the teaching hospital for our Wright State University Neurology Residency program which began in July 2014 and now has 16 trainees (4 per class).

Hospital has numerous other residency programs including general surgery, internal medicine, psychiatry, and emergency medicine. Health System comprises of five member hospitals in Southwest Ohio. Both clinical and research tracks are made available by the collaboration with Wright State University BSOM, offering support/protected time for basic science research interests, medical student and residency teaching opportunities, as well as collaborations with translational scientists with national reputations. The successful candidate will be part of the Premier Health/WSU CNSI and have the opportunity for faculty appointment within the Department of Neurology and Neurosurgery.
