PRACTICE SPECIFICS
- We are seeking 2 additional Stroke Neurologists to join our existing team. These are growth positions – not replacements.
- We are a designated a Primary Stroke Center – working toward becoming a Comprehensive Stroke Center.
- Candidates will provide stroke care for St. Mary’s Medical Center and tele-stroke for regional hospitals.
- Certified Stroke Center with inpatient CARF-Stroke Certified Rehab.
- Building comprehensive and coordinated neuroscience programs currently supported by 7 Neurologists, 2 Stroke Neurologist, 1 Tele-stroke program specialist, 1 Stroke Program Manager, 1 Pediatric Neurologist, 1 Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, 4 Adult Nurse Practitioners, 1 Physician Assistant, 1 Certified Nurse Specialist, 2 Neuropsychologist, 4 Psychometrists, 3 Neurosurgeons, 5 Adult Physiatrists and 1 Pediatric Physiatrist. We are also in the process of developing a Neuro-Hospitalist program.
- Primarily inpatient position with periodic “Stroke Clinic” days.
- Medical Center is a 336-bed regional tertiary hospital. Inpatient rehab unit is a 150-bed hospital. This includes a Neuroscience unit at Medical Center including a Neuro Trauma unit and Neuro step down unit along with general beds.
- Stroke program is supported by Vascular Lab with Neurosonology capabilities. Imaging capabilities: 24/7 MRI, acute [Register to View] MRI protocol, perfusion studies, diagnostic angiograms.
- Anticipated work schedule: 7 on 7 off with shared call
- Our ideal candidate would have completed a Stroke Fellowship and have tele-stroke experience.
REQUIREMENTS
- BC/BE in Neurology and fellowship trained in Stroke
