VISTA's Permanent Placement Division is representing a locally owned, not-for-profit healthcare system seeking a Nephrologist. A few more highlights of this full-time position include:
Opportunity Highlights:
* Join another Nephrologist in a well-established busy practice
* Clinic responsibilities, schedule Monday-Wednesday from 8:00 am -5:00pm
* See a mix of new patients and follow-up patients. New patients are blocked out for 30-40 minutes and follow-up patients are blocked out for 15-20 minutes
* Built in administrative time to follow up on patient calls, records, charting, etc.
* Inpatient responsibilities, will be required to take ten days of 24-hour renal consult call each month
* Required to provide renal consults on non-call days Monday-Friday from 6:00 am to 5:00 pm
* There may be a need to place temporary dialysis catheter in AKI or clotted AV access patients if needed
* Dialysis responsibilities, will be required to round on dialysis shift Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays
* Typically, a total of 85 patients at two facilities each week. Once a month there is a requirement to round on peritoneal dialysis patents on Thursdays or Fridays usually the second or third week of the month
* Responsible for first response to PD and HD nurse needs when patient issues arise (i.e. change in dialysis bath, dry weight, medication doses, access referral, etc.
* Weekly assessment of dialysis access using the access flow parameters (transonic), access pressures, and physical exams while on dialysis and referrals to access centers
* PRMC emphasizes the "Patient Centered Medical Home" which is an innovative model of healthcare that emphasizes teamwork, coordination, and technology.
* Onsite lab, radiology with imaging, clinical pharmacists, behaviorists, care managers, case managers, medical assistants and registered nurses
* Expect new or well-maintained facilities with ample office space, and 2-3 exam rooms per physician
* System-wide EMR: EPIC
* Two-year salary guarantee of $325,000. After two years, compensation switches to a 100% RVU based production model.
* Comprehensive benefit package including health, dental and vision insurance, 403b retirement with matching, paid malpractice and paid malpractice tail insurance
* Reimburse for New Mexico license costs, DEA and CSR
* $2,500.00 CME allowance
* $20,000 signing bonus and $10,000 for relocation assistance
* $5000 tax credit from state of New Mexico
