A hospital in Kentucky is looking for a nephrologist who can provide locum tenens coverage for approximately two weeks beginning in early June with a high chance of extension. On the job, the provider can expect to see between ten and twelve adult patients per day for a variety of cases: Bread and butter, the provider will be seeing patients in the clinic and taking inpatient consults and ER call. The locum will also be supervising the Dialysis Unit. The schedule will be Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. plus call and 24/7 call on the weekends. Call coverage is in a hotel/ apartment if available near facility. The provider may be called in twice in a typical weekend. Mainly geared for emergencies. The client has a great group of hospitalist on staff. This facility uses Cerner EMR and will provide training.
