Physician - Nephrology Augusta, GA The Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University, Department of Medicine, Division of Nephrology, seeks a subspecialty board eligible/board certified academic physician to join its full-time faculty. Academic appointment, tenure status and salary depend upon qualifications and experience. This position is a clinician educator who will be involved in patient care, research & education. Responsibilities include: rounding on renal consult service, nephrology ward service, staffing fellowship clinics and dialysis unit shifts. Medical College of Georgia is Georgia’s only state-supported medical school. Established in 1828, it is one of the 10 largest medical schools. This position is based at the main campus in Augusta, Georgia. Augusta is Georgia’s second largest city and is home to the Masters Golf Tournament and Ironman 70.3 competition. The city hosts urban living with a variety of restaurants, play houses, concerts, a newly renovated symphony hall and soon to open minor league baseball venue. Cost of living is low and lifestyle includes many opportunities for outdoor activities including equestrian, golf, fishing, kayaking, and miles of cycling and running paths. Augusta is located in proximity to Atlanta, Charlotte, Charleston, and Savannah as well as the seacoast and mountains. Candidates will hold MD, DO or MD/PhD and be board eligible/certified. Salary is competitive, commensurate with experience and includes an incentive plan that rewards clinical productivity and research funding success.
