Job Description

Last Update: 2/25/19

Four physician practice located in East Texas has an immediate opening for a nephrologist. Continued expansion and patient demands along with the scaling back of a partner in the practice make this excellent opportunity available. The group has a very busy office and hospital practice along with a large ESRD population. Interventional is a possibility. The practice has been a staple in Longview, Texas since the mid-80’s. The physician’s work cohesively and share a high level of respect for each other. While patient care is the priority of the practice the efficiency of the group allows the physicians to maintain a good work/life balance. They have a solid medical staff and office team providing support and keeping the practice running like a well-oiled machine.

Longview is located about 130 miles east of Dallas and 57 miles west of Shreveport. The city offers beautiful, safe and affordable neighborhoods within the city limits and sprawling ranches with views for miles just beyond the edge of town. East Texas is generally known as the “piney woods” area of the state. Here you will find lush trees and forests in the landscape rather than the prairie land. Schools in the area are good and have lower teacher to student ratios. While Longview has a population just over 80,000 the metro statistical area is just over 200,000 and the area continues to grow. In 2014, Forbes magazine named Longview the sixth fastest-growing small city in the United States.

We offer a two-year salary guarantee with excellent benefits and a track to partnership. Benefits include health, malpractice, 401k match, CME and relocation. Partnership includes shared revenue from ESRD patients and medical directorships. We are unable to support J-1 visas at this time but do encourage Citizens, Permanent Residents and H-1b visa holders to apply.
