Seeking Neonatology Medical Director for established Level III NICU in Alexandria, LA!
Perm Solutions USA has a client seeking a full-time, Board Certified, Neonatology Medical Director to join their team. This leader will build upon the strong foundation that exists in the unit today. With a strong cohesive multi-disciplinary team filled with people who want to take the best care of babies and their families, the NICU Director will continue to focus on Quality Improvement, collaborative care, and relationship-building with hospital stakeholders and parents alike.
Highlights of this opportunity include:
• Collegial, home-grown team of RNs and NNPs that create a memorable experience for Moms and Dads in the RWCH NICU
• Flexible schedule with call from home; Off 26-weeks out of the year
• Generous compensation package with benefits that start on Day 1
Details of this opportunity outlined below:
• Largest NICU in Central Louisiana - Catchment area includes 13 parishes in LA, as far west as TX, and as far east as MS
• NICU Info:
o 34-bed, Level III NICU
o ADC: 15
o 1,500 – 2,000 deliveries annually
o 24/7 In-house laborists
• Staffing Model:
o 2 Neonatologists/5 Neonatal Nurse Practitioners
o 24/7 NNP coverage
Much of the NP team were home grown in the unit
Collaborative care with the Neo
o Neonatologist round and take call from home; 30-min response time
• NNP led Transport team
o Physician covers in house during transports
o Hospital working on developing Air Transport program
• Strong subspecialty coverage including:
o On site: GI, Cardiology, Pulmonology, Ortho, Neurology, General Surgery, and Ophthalmology
o Telemedicine: Nephrology, Genetics, Endocrinology
o MFM clinic once per week
This hospital is home to central Louisiana’s largest, most innovative Newborn Intensive Care Unit, as well as the region’s only six-bed Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and offers a 19-bed pediatric unit, 29-bed well baby nursery, and 26-bed OB/post-partum unit.
This position offers a generous base salary, a Medical Director stipend, bonus incentives, a comprehensive benefits package and paid malpractice with tail coverage that all start on day one!
