Envision Healthcare is seeking a board eligible or board certified Neonatologist to join our busy 55-bed Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Huntsville Hospital. The NICU in Huntsville has been designated as a Regional Referral Center by the state of Alabama. This designation keeps the unit full with an average daily census that is typically in the 60s. The care of these neonates is managed by 6 Neonatologists who take calls from home and 8 NNPs who are in-house 24/7. The NNPs are employees of the hospital, and they manage the care of the high acuity patients in conjunction with the Neonatologist who is on call for the day.
These Neonatologists take a team approach to patient care and work together on a daily basis to ensure the best care for patients with the best outcomes. With a flexible and collegial working environment, the group takes care of each other when it comes to scheduling to ensure there is work/life balance for all. In the current structure, the group works together and cares for all the patients all the time. However, the group is open to looking at the schedule once they identify the 6th Neonatologist who will complete the practice.

Huntsville Hospital is a 971-bed hospital that serves as the regional referral center for North Alabama and southern Tennessee. The Health System includes more than 2,200 patient beds and 15,000 employees.
