Seeking Full-Time Neonatologist for Level III NICU in Colorado Springs, CO! Beautiful private NICU overlooking Pikes Peak.

Envision Physician Services is seeking a board-certified Neonatologist to join our collaborative care team at St. Francis Hospital. You will work alongside a dedicated team of Neonatologists and Advanced Practice Providers and be part of a larger care team within the states of CO and KS where quality improvement and evidence-based practice are at the forefront. The level III NICU at St. Francis Hospital overlooks Pikes Peak and specializes in providing high-level care to premature babies and babies with severe medical problems. The NICU has 48 private neonatal bays where parents can spend private family time with their babies. Colorado Springs was ranked as the No. 2 Best Place to Live in the 2022 U.S. News & World Report.

Opportunity Details:

  • Staffing Model: 5 FTE Neonatologist (6 Neo’s total), 9 APPs
    • Innovative telehealth solution for lower volume NICUs
  • Schedule:
    • 5-week rotation
    • Call from home with in-house APPs
    • 2 Neos on service per day
  • Coverage includes:
    • Attendance at high-risk deliveries
    • Care of some newborns/circumcisions
    • Level I/II NICU telemedicine rounding
  • Facilities:

      • Deliveries: 3,200; 54-beds; ADC: 37
    • Mercy Regional Medical Center (II) - virtual
      • Deliveries: 800; 7-beds; ADC: 2
    • St. Catherine Hospital (II) - virtual
      • Deliveries: 640; 7-beds; ADC: 2
    • Level I tele-NEO support for Pediatricians

St. Francis Hospital opened in August 2008. This 276-licensed bed facility is the only full-service hospital in Northern Colorado Springs and features a modern Birth Center, Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Emergency Department, Level III Trauma Center, Imaging Services, Surgical Services and Critical Care Unit. It is also the home base for the Flight for Life Colorado air ambulance helicopter service.
