Job Description

The Children’s Hospital at Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN) in eastern Pennsylvania is growing again! We have approval to add another neonatologist to our provider team which includes 9 neonatologists and 6 NNPs. We seek applicants who are board certified or board eligible and we offer the opportunity to develop a rewarding practice that includes teaching medical students and pediatric residents from our free-standing, fully accredited residency program. LVHN physicians are eligible for faculty appointments at the University of South Florida, our academic partner.
LVHN has a 40-bed Level III NICU. We provide all neonatal services with the exception of cardiac surgery and ECMO. The network records approximately 4,000 deliveries annually; has a 10-bed LDR unit, a 10-bed perinatal unit with MFMs on site 24/7, and an 8-bed PICU. We are also proud of having 3 full time pediatric surgeons on our medical staff. Because of the growth in our pediatric service line, a new pavilion for obstetrics and newborn services is currently under construction on our Muhlenberg campus in Bethlehem, PA.
The Lehigh Valley area is anchored by the city of Allentown, the fastest growing city in the state. Urban redevelopment that includes new businesses, sophisticated metropolitan-style housing, four-star restaurants and entertainment venues are credited with the city’s growth. Within 10 minutes of the downtown are beautiful suburban neighborhoods, city parks, bike trails, ski areas and more. The academic opportunities in the area include excellent public schools, highly regarded private schools plus 10 colleges and universities. More than 700,000 people live, work, learn and play in the greater Lehigh Valley.
