Seeking Experienced Neonatologist Leader for Chief of Neonatology Services at the Memorial Healthcare System in south FL! Well-established RPICC & New Pediatric Residency Program!

Envision Physician Services is looking for a Chief of Neonatology for the Memorial Healthcare System in Hollywood, Florida. This system consists of Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital (84-bed Level III+ with Peds Residents), Memorial Hospital Miramar (20-bed Level II), and Memorial Hospital West (16-bed Level II), and constitutes the largest combined delivery volume in south Florida. The ideal candidate is someone who has proven leadership experience in a Level III setting and/or a strong academic background with the enthusiasm to take this Neonatology program to the next level.

Opporunity Details

  • Staffing Model with recent expansion
    • 17 Neonatologists
    • 2 Neonatal Hospitalists
      • New position added to staffing model due increase in volume
      • In-house during the day (newborns/deliveries/Level II)
    • 21 Allied Health Providers (NNPs/NICU PAs)
  • Clinical/Administrative Time:
  • 0.6 (of 1.0 FTE) Clinical schedule (JDCH - Level III, Miramar - Level II, West - Level II)
    • 15-week rotation (Equal distribution of time amongst all Neos) with a combination of in-house call and call from home
    • 4-weeks and 6-weekends off time during 15-week block
  • 0.4 (of 1.0 FTE) Administrative time
    • Client Relations Management, Program Oversight: personnel, quality initiatives, outreach, budget oversight
    • Participate in hospital committees to further enhance relationship with multi-disciplinary teams and partner with hospital administration for strategy development and implementation
    • Involvement in the ongoing development and growth of the Pediatric Residency program that started in July 2018
    • 8 residents per year
    • Teaching team with Neo, Resident, NNP/PA
    • Involvement in Envision Quality Improvement projects, VON homerooms and quality initiatives, and the National BPD Collaborative (1 of 12 facilities nationwide), publications
