NNP Long Term Locum coverage needed in Virginia
Location: Richmond, VA
Duration: Ongoing while hiring
Board Certification: NNP trained and certified
Unit: Level III, 32-single family rooms and 8-bed step-down unit, Normally run two thirds to 80% of capacity.
Shift times: 7A-7A beginning November 1, 2018 (currently working 7a-7p)
Staffing Model: 5 Neonatologists, 4.5 Neonatal Nurse Practitioners; Unit is covered by 2 Neos during the day, 1 Neo at night, and 1 NNP from 7a-7p.
Shift Responsibility: The NNP primarily covers the well baby nursery and helps with NICU if census permits.
Annual Volume: Deliveries - 3,832; NICU Admits - 392; NICU ADC – 22.4
Schedule: Shifts are daily, 7a-7p (moving to 24-hour in-house shifts in November 2018); attend all high risk deliveries with nurse and resp therapist.
Back up: Great subspecialty backup including Peds surgery, cardiology, neurology, and genetics among others. Experienced nursing staff.
License Requirement: Active Virginia license needed
