Seeking Experienced Neonatologist Leader for Assistant Medical Director Position at Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital - Regional Perinatal Center with New Pediatric Residency Program in south FL!

Envision Physician Services is looking for an Assistant Medical Director (AMD) for our established Neonatology practice in Hollywood, Florida. With a growing NICU service and expansion in leadership roles, we’re looking for someone who’s passionate about high volume/high acuity practice with a focus on collaboration and teamwork in the NICU.

Opportunity Details:

  • Staffing Model with recent growth
  • 17 Neonatologists
  • 2 Neonatal Hospitalists
  • New position added to staffing model due increase in volumeIn-house during the day (newborns/deliveries/Level II)
  • 19 Allied Health Providers (NNPs/NICU PAs)
  • Clinical/Administrative Time:
  • 0.8 (of 1.0 FTE) clinical schedule (JDCH - Level III, Miramar - Level II, West - Level II)
    • 15-week rotation (Equal distribution of time amongst all Neos) with a combination of in-house call and call from home
    • 4-weeks of off time during 15-week block
  • 0.2 (of 1.0 FTE) Administrative time
    • Support JDCH Medical Director with hospital, quality, and staffing initiatives
    • Participate in hospital committees to further enhance relationship with multi-disciplinary teams
    • Help with personnel issues, development, and strategic planning for practice
  • Involvement in the ongoing development and growth of the Pediatric Residency program that started in July 2018
    • 8 residents per year
    • Teaching team with Neo, Resident, NNP/PA
  • Involvement in Envision Quality Improvement projects, VON homerooms and quality initiatives, and the National BPD Collaborative (1 of 12 facilities nationwide)
