Last Update: 5/31/19

Lehigh Valley Children’s Hospital is seeking board certified / board eligible Neonatology to join the group. We seek applicants who are board certified or board eligible and we offer the opportunity to develop a rewarding practice that includes teaching medical students and pediatric residents from our free-standing, fully accredited residency program. LVHN physicians are eligible for faculty appointments at the University of South Florida, our academic partner.

The Children’s Hospital at Lehigh Valley Hospital is the only children’s hospital in the region and has a 37-bed inpatient pediatric unit, 8-bed Level II PICU, 40-bed Level IV NICU, Children’s Specialty Center, Level II pediatric trauma center and 12-bed pediatric ER. We provide all neonatal services with the exception of cardiac surgery and ECMO. The network records approximately 4,000 deliveries annually; has a 10-bed LDR unit, and 10-bed perinatal unit with MFMs on site 24/7. We are also proud of having 3 full time pediatric surgeons on our medical staff.

Located in the heart of a prosperous, growing region of eastern Pennsylvania, the Lehigh Valley is an area of outstanding beauty, a regional center for culture, education, recreation and public service and the base for many leading companies. We are only 1 hour north of Philadelphia and 1.5 hours west of New York City.

Our successful candidate must have superior clinical and interpersonal skills and must possess a strong desire to participate in program development, research and medical education. Must be BC or BE in Neonatology through the American Academy of Pediatrics.

The Lehigh Valley area is anchored by the city of Allentown, the fastest growing city in the state. Urban redevelopment that includes new businesses, sophisticated metropolitan-style housing, four-star restaurants and entertainment venues are credited with the city’s growth. Within 10 minutes of the downtown are beautiful suburban neighborhoods, city parks, bike trails, ski areas and more. The academic opportunities in the area include excellent public schools, highly regarded private schools plus 10 colleges and universities. More than 700,000 people live, work, learn and play in the greater Lehigh Valley.
