Long Term Locum coverage needed in Louisiana
Location: Alexandria, LA
Duration: Ongoing while hiring
Board Certification: Board Certified Pediatrics and Neonatology
Unit: 6 bed Level 2 PICU and 34 bed Level 3 NICU
Schedule: Neonatologist will work with another Neonatologist and 5 NNPs. Provider normally starts around 9 am. Shares the patient load with NNPs, on average seeing 4 NICU patients per day and ~ 5 Newborn well babies. NNPs stay in house. Neo rounds during the day and available for emergencies from home. Neonatologist is required to be in-house when NNPs go on transport.
Back up: Subspecialty – Pediatric cardiology, Pediatric pulmonologist is available
Shift Responsibility: Docs work 24 hour shifts, in-house during the day and on call at night, one NNP covers in-house 24/7
License Requirement: Active Louisiana license needed
