Tiva Healthcare, the internal Locums division for Envision Physician Services/EmCare, has an urgent Locum Opportunity for a Neonatologist in Lubbock. Below are additional details:

• 38-bed, level 3 children's hospital with delivery service (moving to Level IV in April)

• 2,500 deliveries per year - 14% of which are admitted to NICU

• Average Daily Census: 21-22; average length of stay is 19 days

• high-volume, high-acuity unit

• Also provides coverage to small newborn nursery (in the same unit); approximately 6-10 beds with 1,2 day ALS & couplet care

• ECMO is done in the PICU. They also have an active transport system staffed by NICU nurses and RT’s who also staff the NICU with a very good skill set.

• They have a PICC team

• NNP coverage as well (24 hours in-house)

• Meditech EMR

• 1 Neonatologist on during the day and 24 hr. nurse practitioner.

• 1 Neonatologist on at night.

• The NNPs handle procedures.

• Must have active TX license

• Temporary privileges are available.

• 9 Hour Day Shifts, 15 Hour Night Shifts
