Seeking Neonatologist/ Medical Director to Join Level III NICU Practice in Jersey City, NJ!

Envision Physician Services is seeking a full-time, board eligible or board-certified Neonatologist/ Site Medical Director with at least 2 years of leadership experience for our growing Level III NICU practice at Jersey City Medical Center in Jersey City, NJ. Our collegial team of clinicians have worked to increase the services available to the most precious patients in the region with plans to add iNo and total body cooling therapies to the list in 2018. Combining a national infrastructure with local support, our breadth and depth of clinical and operational resources allow our physicians to spend more time on what matters: delivering high-quality care. Details about the opportunity/NICU are listed below:

  • Staffing Model: 5 Neonatologists provide in-house coverage 24/7
  • 41-bed Level III NICU that serves as a Regional Perinatal Center (RPICC) with a focus on family-centered care and equipped with NicView cameras
  • 2,030 deliveries per year with 350 NICU admissions
  • HFVO/Exclusive human milk diet for LBW infants (donor milk + Human milk-based fortifier)
  • Evidence-based medicine is a strong focus with monthly journal club meetings with physicians and nurses, participation in the Vermont Oxford Network, and opportunities to do clinical research
  • Neos are supported by excellent OB services, 98% of nurses holding BSN degree and 47% national certification, and ancillary support that includes a PhD Nurse Educator, NICU Nutritionist, Lactation consultants, RTs, Social Worker, PT/OT/ST, and a breastfeeding support group

Jersey City Medical Center is located on a 15-acre campus overlooking the New York Harbor and Liberty State Park. From some areas within the hospital, you can see the Statue of Liberty. The Campus presently includes two facilities, the Wilzig Hospital and the Provident Bank Ambulatory Center. The hospital serves as a regional referral teaching hospital and provides the highest level of care for women and infants, trauma, and cardiac patients. Jersey City Medical Center is a teaching affiliate and a member of Americas Essential Hospitals. JCMC is Hudson’s largest provider of healthcare services with more than 18,000 admissions and over 100,000 emergency room visits every year.
