Job Description
Oversee and lead the clinical affairs of a community health FQHC site:
- See primary care patients, ages 0-100, medical directors do approx. 75% clinical care and 25% administrative responsibilities, some weeks could be closer to 60%/40%, 50%/50%
- Oversee clinical examinations of providers who provide care to patients at the site
- Reviews all problem cases to determine best course of treatment
- Communication with HR and Chief Medical Officer, Director of Primary Care on any important staff-related or patient-related issues
- Meet with leadership to evaluate efficiency, productivity and performance of staff
- Participate in monthly staff physician conferences

NY State license, DEA, CSR (active or applied preferred) but not required
Residency training in Family Medicine or Med-Peds
Bilingual language skills in Spanish preferred but not required
Preferably previous community health/FQHC experience
Previous leadership of providers
Strong ability to communicate with clinical and non-clinical employees
Exhibit leadership and navigate normal politics
