      Description: Hiring a Medical Director, Internal Medicine Programs, for a top medical system in New Jersey. The Medical Director, Internal Medicine Programs shall work in collaboration with medical staff to provide comprehensive health services to patients. Responsible for executing the goals and objectives of the Division of General Internal Medicine. The Medical Director, Internal Medicine Programs will systematically assess patients’ health status, arrives at appropriate diagnoses, and implements care plan in support of effective clinical outcomes.


      Responsibilities:



      • Provide administrative and clinical oversight of the Division of General Internal Medicine.
      • Direct Fellowship Programs by selection, teaching, and compliance with ACGME standards.
      • Maintain highest quality and safety across division consistent with clinical standards driven by qualitative and quantitative clinical outcomes.
      • Provide direct patient care in the outpatient and inpatient setting, as well as build on current outstanding outreach network and strengthen ties statewide.
      • Coordinate research, symposium, grand rounds and any other academic activities that elevate the knowledge within the community, locally and nationally.
      • Complete all patients billing information and patient medical charts in an accurate and timely manner as outlined by hospital policy.
      • Maintain knowledge of current treatment modalities available to patients and work with Administrative leadership to evaluate and/or implement new treatments as necessary.
      • Develop research protocols that enhance clinical management of primary care patients.
      • Sets strategic goals for the Division of and implements plans and timelines to meet goals.
      • Collaboratively work with Fellows, Nurses, Nurse Practitioners, ancillary staff and other physicians to promote a cohesive team environment.
      • Responsible for the implementation of divisional plans and day to day outcomes, will provide direct clinical care, clinical administrative duties and QA/QI activities.
      • Provide lectures to the medical community and patients on internal medicine services.

      Educational Requirements:



      • Licensed to practice Medicine in New Jersey
      • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine
