In partnership with NYC Health + Hospitals/Metropolitan our teams provide care for over 313,000 outpatient visits, nearly 70,000 emergency room visits and more than 13,000 inpatient admissions annually. The hospital maintains an academic affiliation with New York Medical College.

Responsibilities:

Under the supervision of the Chief Medical Officer, provides leadership over the administrative functioning of graduate medical education, training, compliance, residency programs and other activities and projects as assigned.

Functions/Responsibilities:

Successfully completes the mandatory three day H+H orientation

Adheres and conforms to all hospital and departmental guidelines, policies and procedures

Provides administrative oversight for the hospital's residency programs, including ensuring compliance with ACGME, NYS and H+H policies and procedures

Provides oversight of the Office of Medical Education

Oversees the management of the New Innovations software

Tracks compliance and competency trainings of house staff and fellows including annual GME survey

Manages the process for the acquisition of visas for the Residents

Responsible for on-going monitoring of H+H required in-service trainings; tracks compliance and competency trainings of Residents /Fellows/Rotators

Coordinates orientation and ensures completion and participates in annual orientation for Residency Program

Responsible for ensuring ongoing compliance of GME Committee minutes

Represents Metropolitan Hospital on various task forces and community outreach programs

Responsible for scheduling and final approval for EPIC training modules for all residents, fellows, and PA students

Other duties as assigned by Chief Medical Officer

Qualifications:

Qualification Requirements:

College degree

A minimum of five (5) years' experience required in Health Care Administration

Strong planning and organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks

Ability to work with management at all levels and across departments
