About Us

Orchid Health is a rural health clinic organization that seeks to revolutionize healthcare from the ground up by designing and spreading a model of community health that is centered on positive relationships with our patients while creating the best possible place to work for our care teams.

Since our founding in 2014, with the belief that people in rural communities deserve a fair and just opportunity at living healthy lives, we have grown to a team of 43 employees across three clinic sites: Oakridge, Estacada, and McKenzie River. Our PCPs see 10-14 patients/day working with a robust care team that includes behaviorists, RNs, community health workers, and MAs. We are passionate about improving health upstream, in our communities, with compassion, and by challenging the status quo of our nation’s healthcare system.

Position Highlights

In collaboration with Orchid Leadership, the Associate Medical Director, and Provider Teams, the Director of Community Health will help execute the company’s strategy and help develop, implement, and evaluate the medical practice delivery model to support Orchid’s vision, mission, and four strategic pillars:

  1. Creating a great place to work
  2. Delivering an exceptional patient experience
  3. Improving community health outcomes
  4. Ensuring sustainable financial outcomes

This position is designed to offer flexibility for an individual who desires to continue with another part-time consulting or leadership role while also receiving the benefit of serving as a key leadership team member at an innovative primary care organization with an amazing organizational culture.

The Director of Community Health will take primary responsibility for overseeing the company’s clinicians, population health strategies, and overall quality of care being delivered across all clinics and service lines.

We believe this is a great opportunity for someone who identifies with the following sentiments:

  • I enjoy a flexible environment where the team works together (often going above and beyond to best accomplish a shared vision), celebrates successes together, and values all team members' unique perspectives and contributions.
  • I love the idea of small-town providers who have the time to connect with patients as well as the idea of helping grow a “startup” organization in pursuit of its vision.
  • I love the idea of treating patients with comprehensive care and not just sending people off to specialists.
  • I am interested in redesigning primary care, guided by the following Core Values:
  1. Showing Respect
  2. Not Accepting the Status Quo
  3. Being Passionate about our Mission
  4. Choosing Positivity
  5. Embracing a Learning Environment
  6. Honoring Integrity and Accountability
  7. Valuing Relationship
