Kidney Transplant Surgical Director position in greater Boston Massachusetts. JOB#55837

Job Details:

• Board Certified or Eligible Transplant Surgeon
• Fellowship Trained in Transplant Surgery is a must - No Pancreatic Transplants currently
• Active Massachusetts license or Willing to Obtain one
• Academic and research opportunities are available, along with the teaching of fellows and residents
• The ideal candidate will work with our transplant nephrologists to provide pre and post-transplant care for kidney transplant candidates, recipients, and living donors
• Experience in laparoscopic donor nephrectomy is required
• The position is fully Kidney focused, candidate can choose whether or not they would want to be involved in Liver Transplants
• Responsibilities include oversight of evaluation and selection of candidates for kidney transplantation and living donors, post-transplant immunosuppression management and participation in departmental community outreach programs
• Over 100 Kidney Transplants in 2019, looking to expand both Liver and Kidney Transplants
