Job Description
Hiring a Director of Infectious Disease for a community teaching hospital in the NY Metro Area. The Director of Infectious Disease will be offered a wide range of desirable benefits and competitive compensation.
Responsibilities:
- Administrative management of the Infectious Disease Division for the Department of Medicine, including quality assurance and attainment of facility driven performance targets
- Provide clinical care in an inpatient and outpatient setting
- Perform inpatient and outpatient consultation as needed
- Educate residents and participate in scholarships
- Provide clinical guidance and direction to other members of the healthcare team as needed
- Assist in the establishment and maintenance of standards of performance for staff working in the division
- Clinically lead our antibiotic stewardship program and HIV compliance protocols
Requirements:
- Active, Unrestricted NYS License
- Board Eligible or Board Certified in Infectious Disease (ABMS)
- 5+ years of experience as an Attending Physician and educator preferred
- Administrative experience preferred
- Experience attending to an underserved population preferred
