Job Description
The primary focus of the Deputy Medical Officer is to provide medical clinical leadership, foster superior quality patient care, develop and advance medical strategic goals, and provide credentialing and privileging of the medial staff.
Details:
- Permanent position
- Direct responsibility for medical leadership
- Indirect responsibility for all clinic staff in conjunction with the VP of Healthcare Services
- General oversight and ongoing monitoring and evaluation of clinic budgets
- Assist the appropriate staff in the proposal, decision making, development, implementation, and the evaluation of new medical programs
- Serve as the medical contact for internal and external partnerships
- Promote staff professional development
- Encourage and emphasize the use of data and metrics in the decision making

Qualifications
- Graduate of approved US medical school
- Graduate of an accredited residency program in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Internal Medicine/Pediatrics
- Board Certified in appropriate discipline
- Licensed to practice medicine in the State of California
- Active DEA waiver
- 7 years proven successful experience as a practicing clinician
- 5 years senior/director level management experience
- EMR experience preferred
- Bilingual preferred
