Opportunity:
-The Clinic Medical Director provides clinical care to a primarily underserved patient population and works in collaboration with the Clinic Manager to provide on-site clinical leadership.
-This position works as part of a multi-disciplinary team, in collaboration with other clinicians, to support the behavioral, physical, and psychosocial needs of a diverse patient population within a rural primary care setting.
-Clinical practice occurs primarily in the outpatient setting, with inpatient care opportunities as well.

Responsibilities:
-Provides direct patient care at a minimum of 75%, including preventive care, primary diagnosis and treatment, and chronic disease management in a primary care clinic setting.
-Effectively utilizes team based care model, leveraging expertise of all members of multi-disciplinary team.
-Mentors, coaches, and serves as advocate for providers (MD, DO, NP, PA).
-Works with Clinic Manager to translate actionable items from strategic plan at site level.

Skills & Knowledge:
-Experience working with low-income populations preferred.
-Experience working on computers including typing/keyboarding skills required.
-Knowledge of health insurance plans preferred.
-Ability to train and teach staff required.
-Knowledge of standard office policies and procedures preferred.
-Knowledge of regulatory requirements including CLIA and OSHA standards preferred.
-Ability to work with practice management software required.
-Hospital privileges may be required.

Experience Required:
-Three years of clinical experience in a primary care setting.
-Two years in a leadership and/or Medical Director role preferred.
-Previous administrative experience preferred
