We are seeking a Physician (MD or DO) to work as a Medical/Laboratory Director for a Plasma Donation Center in Edinburg, TX. Our parent organization operates over 200 Plasma Donor Centers within the USA. These state of the art facilities collect human plasma from paid donors to create life-saving pharmaceutical products such as clotting factors, immunoglobulin’s and albumin for patients who suffer from bleeding disorders, immune system deficiencies, burns and shock.
The Medical Director must live within 50 miles of the clinic
Job Profile:
The Medical Director will provide medical coverage, advice, and assistance to the center’s medical staff (nurses and EMT’s) regarding donor evaluation, screening, safety, and suitability. The physician will be responsible for overseeing the certification, training and performance of the medical staff as it pertains to the donor assessment and compliance with the SOP. The Medical Director will also review donor charts, evaluate basic laboratory results, and, in selected locations, immunization of the donors. Previous experience not required. Industry-specific paid training provided.
Qualifications:
1. Must be licensed to practice medicine in the state.
2. Basic computer skills
3. Management, leadership, teaching.
