Internal Medicine Associate Program Director in Arkansas
StartDate: ASAP

Merritt Hawkins invites you to consider an Associate Program Director position with a thriving Internal Medicine Residency Program in one of the fastest-growing regions in the country. The successful candidate will be ABIM-certified in either Internal Medicine or an Internal Medicine subspecialty, and will devote approximately 50% effort to the administrative and educational aspects of the program. Preference will be given to candidates from academic backgrounds with experience teaching medical students and/or residents.

This position also features:
  • Monday–Friday work schedule, no weekends required, phone call only
  • Ability to focus on sub-specialty such as integrative medicine, women’s health and/or culinary medicine
  • Bring an expertise and curiosity for improving the education of future physicians through the incorporation of innovative pedagogy
  • Participate in academic societies, scholarly activities and in educational programs designed to enhance educational and administrative skills
  • Split time between administrative and educational aspects of program, serving as a supervising attending in the Internal Medicine Residency Clinic, as well as caring for own patient panel
  • Subspecialties of rheumatology and endocrinology are very needed in this region. Candidates with this expertise will have the opportunity to lead the design and development of fellowship training programs
