Academic Director of Anatomic Pathology in Oklahoma
StartDate: ASAP

Merritt Hawkins’ academic division has partnered with a major Academic Program to recruit two rising leaders in anatomic pathology who are committed to excellence in diagnostics, research, and teaching. We are seeking candidates for Director of Anatomic Pathology as well as a Subspecialist Anatomic Pathology Faculty member. These positions provide a unique balance of practice fulfillment and quality of life.

Director of Anatomic Pathology Opportunity
The successful candidate will:
  • Seeking a Director of Anatomic Pathology with a demonstrated record of accomplishment in leadership, clinical excellence, education, mentorship, and research
  • Lead the thriving Anatomic Pathology Division of the OU Medical System Laboratory, which serves adult and pediatric populations;
  • Manage a subspecialty-based anatomic pathology practice while providing medical direction for anatomic pathology technical facilities.
  • Candidate qualifications:
  • Board certification in AP or AP/CP with at least ten years of recent experience in surgical pathology and more than three years of recent experience in a leadership role
  • A strong background including a track record of publishing, leadership ability, and administrative skills

Subspecialist Anatomic Pathology Faculty Opportunity
The successful candidate will:
  • Join the Anatomic Pathology Division of the OU Medical System Laboratory, a group of fourteen anatomic pathologists;
  • Provide leadership in an area of subspecialty interest.
  • Candidate qualifications:
  • Board certification in AP or AP/CP with at least five years of experience as a subspecialty surgical pathologist or cytopathologist
  • A successful record of academic productivity leading to an emerging reputation
