A growing organization specializing in Family Practice/Internal Medicine, Infectious Disease and Behavioral Health is seeking a Medical Director to lead our Clinics located in the Northwest Suburbs of Chicago. The new Medical Director will provide compassion, leadership, strategic planning and education to the staff and the community that it serves.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinates the planning and development of the Medical Department
• Maintains compliance standards
• Develops quality of care guidelines and internal peer review procedures
• Contributes to the development of the annual budget
• Participates and directs provider and Medical Department meetings
• Represents the agency to physician’s organizations and other medical societies
• Participates in meetings with the Board and provides updates as needed
• Ensures adequate coverage by assuming responsibility for provider scheduling, including on- call coverage

Requirements:

• Board Certified MD or DO, currently licensed in Illinois preferred
• DEA Controlled Substance License
• Minimum of 6 years of experience
• Managed HIV/AIDS positive panel of clients and issues
• Knowledge and experience with LGBTQ community and multi-ethnic, multi-cultural individuals.
• Previous work experience in an outpatient setting
• Bilingual English/Spanish highly desired.
