Department of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation

This esteemed School of Medicine is one of the premier research-intensive institutions in the United States, ranked in the top 25 in NIH funding. The Department of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation has a strong research history, and is seeking a Director of Research with research related to disciplines in PM&R.

Highlights include:

  • Academic health system anchored by its 1,157-bed teaching hospital, with leadership across all Departments working collaboratively to promote excellence in education and research.
  • Collegial Department of PM&R consisting of 21 well-trained faculty
  • $2.4 million of active annual grants/studies/clinical trials

The Department is focused on finding a well-qualified candidate who possesses the following:

  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills with the willingness to work with clinical researchers in a collaborative, collegial environment
  • Experience in designing & writing research as a principal investigator.
  • An understanding of all aspects of the administrative components involved in research with human subjects.
  • Ability to obtain independent funding and willingness to have a clinical practice at some level.
