Applicants experienced in upholding ACGME and/or AAMC guidelines in a residency or medical school setting are welcome to apply. The incoming candidate will serve as both the Director of GME & Clinical Training as well as the Designated Institutional Official (DIO) over the 10 clinical residencies and fellowships offered at City of Hope. This position features the following:
  • Work alongside the GME Committee to provide oversight, guidance, and support to ensure the highest quality of education and work environment for the trainee programs
  • Meet with GME staff weekly and act as a liaison to the clinical program directors
  • Develop and review policies and procedures that affect both ACGME-accredited and non-accredited clinical training programs and their trainees
  • Review and approve non-ACGME accredited clinical training programs to ensure that they meet equivalent standards to those required for the accredited programs
  • Review and approve changes to training programs which could affect educational quality or require ACGME approval
  • Provide a forum for exchange of information among all parties involved in graduate medical education
