Our client, a top teaching hospital in New York City, is hiring a Medical Director of Pediatric Emergency Department

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage the Pediatric Emergency Department which sees approximately 35,000 patients per year
  • Work in a recently renovated, family friendly, self-contained unit separate from the Adult Emergency Department.
  • Lead a team of pediatric emergency medicine physicians, pediatric attendings, pediatric nurses, residents, medical students and a pediatric nurse practitioner.
  • Opportunities for program development and academic advancement in the areas of trauma, simulation, quality & safety, global health and medical education.
  • Opportunities for professional and institutional growth
  • Dual faculty appointments in Emergency Medicine and Pediatrics commensurate with credentials, experience and qualifications

Job Requirements:

  • Board Certified or Eligible in Pediatric Emergency Medicine
  • Valid New York State license and DEA
  • Experience in leadership roles and program development
