JOB TITLE (#2071): Medical Director - Bronx, NY

This is a growing and dynamic network of multispecialty medical practices serving the Bronx, New York community with an emphasis on accessible patient-centered healthcare. The Medical Director provides medical leadership, helps oversee provider operations, and performs medical reviews of provider clinical activities.

Compensation and Benefits for the Medical Director:

  • The Salary for this position is Competitive and Negotiable – offer based on experience
  • This is a Part-time position (one full day a week, up to 40 hours/month).
  • Benefits are Competitive and Negotiable.

Requirements of the Medical Director:

  • Must have an active State License
  • Must have a minimum of 10 years of clinical experience
  • Must be Board Certified
  • Actively practicing physician (Primary Care, Internal Medicine, Family Practice, Pediatrics, or Emergency Medicine)

Responsibilities of the Medical Director:

  • Provide medical expertise in quality improvement and utilization management
  • Assist in the evaluation and presentation of adverse trends in the utilization of medical services and unusual provider practice patterns
  • Interface with physicians and other providers
  • Facilitate implementing recommendations
  • Improve utilization and healthcare quality and reduce unwarranted variation in clinical practices
  • Improve quality and cost of care
  • Produce evaluations of providers to the Executive Director
  • Promote a positive and appropriate workplace among providers
  • Enhance professional staff workplace satisfaction
  • Assist in the training of the medical staff as needed
  • Enhance cooperation between Physicians, other professional staff members, and relevant medical departments
  • Consistently monitor and evaluate the coordination of the medical team
  • Ensure the continued growth and success of our organization
