Philadelphia, PA (very desirable suburb): Maternal Fetal Medicine physician is needed to work at a well-regarded community hospital. She or he will do consultations. Deliveries are optional. They have 1 MFM, 11 Ob/Gyns, and a full support staff at this hospital. Level 3 NICU. $ Excellent financial package and earnings

PRACTICE OPPORTUNITY:

  • Located in a very desirable suburb of Philadelphia, a Board Eligible or Board Certified Maternal Fetal Medicine physician is needed to work at a well-regarded community hospitpal.
  • They currently have one MFM, 11 Ob/Gyn physicians, and a full support staff.
  • This excellent MFM opportunity is due to growth and expansion of their patient base and service area.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • The new MFM candidate will be required to be Board Eligible or Board Certified in Perinatology.
  • MFM physicians completing their MFM fellowships graduates as well as physicians already in practice and who have prior MFM work experience are all welcome to apply and will all be strongly considered.

DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • The new MFM is needed to do consultations.
  • If she or he wants to do OB deliveries, they are totally optional.
  • Manage high-risk obstetrical deliveries in the antenatal testing unit.
  • Review ultrasonographic reports and films
  • Review fetal echocardiography
  • Amniocentesis
  • Experience with CVS, fetal blood sampling, and intrauterine fetal transfusion a plus.
  • Develop and staffing a perinatology service to include genetic services and counseling.
  • Provide educational services for the medical staff and hospital.
  • Hospital: The hospital that the new MFM will work at is a full-service and well-regarded community hospital. It has a Level III NICU. Davinci Robot access will be possible.
  • Their hospital is also one of the area’s leading providers of comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services. It offers a full range of acute, ambulatory and emergency services.
